A new M.O. & ZOMBIE ZOMBIE

Monday, July 7th, 2008

I have now set Journey in the 6th Dimension loose. Its on it own now, free to make its way in the world. As for the rest of the blog, well, I’m changing the tone around a little bit. I’m going to keep the ‘bullpen bulletin‘ open for fun and silly things, and transfer my artwork over to flickr. Don’t worry, I’ll keep all the old posts intact. From now on, this site is going to be dedicated to my web-comic and, you know, weird stuff.

On that note, here’s a cool unofficial music video based on the song “Driving the Road Until Death Sets You Free,” by the French duo ZOMBIE ZOMBIE, otherwise known as Etienne Jaumet and Cosmic Neman.

Its essentially a remake of John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982), performed by G.I.Joe action figures. It’s also really cool and very well made. In fact, I can’t say that enough, really well made. Kudos to the talented directors, Simon Gesrel and Xavier Ehretsmann.

Insomnia Man

Insomnia Man

He’s the hero that never sleeps, literally. He has a lot of time to think.

See more Superheroes at my flickr gallery.

While we’re on the subject of insomnia, here’s a strange but kind of intoxicating animation I stumbled on called ‘Eternal Insomnia.’ Its by someone who goes by the name ’sibbiheim’ and, as far as I can tell, it was done for a class project.  It could just be the music, IIevan Polkka by Loituma, but I’m sort of mesmerized by it. Cool, huh?
