Below is a portrait of my best-good-buddy Zachary Finkelstein. I don’t often draw my friends in the form of Dreadnok pin-ups, nevertheless sometimes the desire overtakes me and I have to surrender to my inner-selfness. Those of you who are savvy in the ways of Larry Hama’s classic GIJoe comic series will recognize Zach’s shirt and pants.
I fished this guy out of an old e-mail. I drew him in my spare time at work, he’s a variation of an old GIJoe action figure I was fond of when I was a boy.
I’d pop something new up but my computer isn’t connected to the internet at the moment; the modem hasn’t come in the mail yet. In the meantime you’ll have to enjoy old stuff, I hope your not allergic to cob-webs… or wicked-rad flames.
I have now set Journey in the 6th Dimension loose. Its on it own now, free to make its way in the world. As for the rest of the blog, well, I’m changing the tone around a little bit. I’m going to keep the ‘bullpen bulletin‘ open for fun and silly things, and transfer my artwork over to flickr. Don’t worry, I’ll keep all the old posts intact. From now on, this site is going to be dedicated to my web-comic and, you know, weird stuff.
On that note, here’s a cool unofficial music video based on the song “Driving the Road Until Death Sets You Free,” by the French duo ZOMBIE ZOMBIE, otherwise known as Etienne Jaumet and Cosmic Neman.
Its essentially a remake of John Carpenter’sThe Thing (1982), performed by G.I.Joe action figures. It’s also really cool and very well made. In fact, I can’t say that enough, really well made. Kudos to the talented directors, Simon Gesrel and Xavier Ehretsmann.
